• Go to  http://www.codecademy.com and check out how easy it is to learn python. If ESRI could build a training platform like that it would really help those of us who are trying to learn advanced concepts on our own. (No money for training).
  
  For those who don't have time to click on the link, Codecademy is an interactive tutorial like training. You are given instructions on one side of the screen and then you have an in-browser workspace where you can try things out. There is not downloading or installing software. at the end of the exercise you try your skills but because it is all in the browser you can know in real time exactly what you are doing wrong.
  
  If ESRI really wants to help the world, this is one way to do it.
