We would like to include enterprise search capabilities into a Silverlight based viewer. This would allow everyone in the organization to search for gis content, not just ArcMap users.

Yesterday

This is standard functionality in good web mapping solutions. Exposing ArcGIS Server search services would remove then need to look at alternatives like lucene (which have limited spatial indexing capability).
