The current 10.2 release of ArcGIS Diagrammer does not work with ArcGIS Desktop 10.3 and will be the final Diagrammer release according to the link here.

ArcGIS Diagrmmer functionality is needed for ArcGIS Desktop 10.3.

I'm helping organize a Special Interest Group at the 2011 Int'l UC to facilitate discussion about GDB modeling.

Description from UC agenda:

http://events.esri.com/uc/2011/infoWeb/OnlineAgenda/?fa=ofg_details_form&ScheduleID=2755

“This Special Interest Group will discuss available and forthcoming GDB design tools, patterns, and emerging issues. The group will provide participants with an opportunity to communicate their database design and modeling requirements to Esri staff who will be present.”

I'm keeping the survey open until August 31, 2011.

It would be really great to have a way to dynamically create a diagram of a geodatabase data model. Currently we can use tools like GDB XRay, GDB Diagrammer and Visio to create a graphic data model diagram but if any changes need to be made to the geodatabase you have to start all over again. So the idea is to build this functionality into Desktop to enable interactive edits to the geodatabase that would be reflected in the data model diagram.

I am currently using ArcGIS Diagrammer to create Schema reports from XML Workspace docs.

The output uses default colours set by ArcGIS Diagrammer, however these default colours aren't suitable for our use.
We would prefer to be able to define our own RGB/CMYK colours for the different different sections/colours.

ESRI Support Australia advised me to contact this web page to request an enhancement for the next release of ArcGIS Diagrammer to include the option of changing the default colours in schema reports to user defined colours.

It seems there are multiple places to comment on ArcGIS Diagrammer functionality, so I am going to cover my bases....

When diagramming in ArcGIS Diagrammer, it would be nice to "hide" certain types of objects, specifically Subtypes.

I work with feature classes that utilize large numbers of subtypes.  Although when diving deep into the schema or designing a geodatabase it is important to have those on the diagram, when trying to export a diagram for business users or management types, the display of all the subtypes is clutter.  I can go ahead and delete them all for making a graphic to present, but even that is a bit of a hassle.

Ouch,  I could not agree more. The Diagrammer tool saves a great deal of time, it is extremely useful.  Unless there is another efficient method to view the GDB schema from the exported XML file, the Diagrammer functionality is needed at 10.3.

No Disrespect to Xray but it is not as user friendly as ArcGIS Diagrammer. Please upgrade Diagrammer!

If Xray had the HTML formatting that ArcGIS Diagrammer gives when you import a schema into excel it would be a little more user friendly and easy to read.

I would like to see diagrammer updated for 10.3. Its a useful tool. If its going away, what is a suitable replacement?

I tried the x-ray for geodatabases add-in in ArcGIS Catalog.  I prefer the ArcGIS Diagrammer to this option because it has more functionality.  I use it all the time.  Please give us an upgraded version of ArcGIS Diagrammer.  Thanks

Diagrammer has become an essential.  I like exporting the diagram to a bitmap and sharing that with a client. Please upgrade.
