Provide access to ArcGIS Online Shared Services via a rest web service

  • In addition to publishing our ArcGIS Server services on ArcGIS online as shared services to assist in data discovery, we would like to be able to query the listings using rest web services from within our Flex viewer application so that the user can append new layers to the map based on their search results.

 Can you elaborate on this a little more? Currently if you can access the Service in ArcGIS.com, you can get to the server's REST end point.
