  • Offer three levels of python courses.  An intro about basic gp and arcpy functionality similiar to what is currently offered, an intermediate course which would be akin to your current advanced course and an advanced course that teaches about useful modules that work with arcpy and gets us more involved with building our own functions and classes.

Here's the latest lineup of Python training from Esri. Courses cover basic Python concepts and arcpy modules.

At ArcGIS 10, we are consolidating our two 9.3 instructor-led courses on Python into one new three-day course. The new course will cover introductory Python scripting as well as some intermediate to advanced topics that are covered now in the Writing Advanced Geoprocessing Scripts Using Python (9.3) course. We will also be developing Web-based courses on focused, advanced Python scripting topics, including arcpy.mapping. Look for those around the end of the year. Together, we think the instructor-led course and the Web courses will provide the Python training our users need to be successful.
