GML Support for AIXM and WXXM

  • 90
    Points

  • OGC is meeting ISO standards for the weather exchange model WXXM. The aeronautical industries and agencies are standardizing to AIXM. Both are meant for easy exchange of weather and flight data to aerospace traffic control and management. ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop needs to be aware of this standard for editing purposes, while the Server should be able to post a 'service' as gml, in like manner to the kml network link.

I hope the next release of PLTS supports AIXM 5.1 since 4.5 it's deprecated and isn't similar in many way to AIXM 5.1. They are many suites already offering AIXM 5.1 capability I would assume ESRI is very close to offering just that

The Aeronautical Solution supports AIXM 4.5. (check them out here http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/extensions/plts-aero/index.html). I suppose if you loaded the AIXM into the geodatbase you could load that data into a mxd then publish that through Server and check the capabilities for KML, WFS...etc
